COZY IRISH COUNTRY HOME

I like the slope of the garden.
Like indoor/outdoor feel of interior.
Like the way it opens into the garden.
Like split level. Feels like a different area and not just the room next door.
Like split level feel and fact you can look down on activity below in the garden from a vantage spot.
Split level again I like. Feels like a remote reading area when you step down into it.
I like the long corrdore leading into the bedroom. Feels away from the main living area.
Like the way it opens into the garden and large french doors.
Kind of garden you would stroll out into. Enticing. Would imagine walking out drinking coffee in the morning.
Vantage point, viewing area is great. maybe off a bedroom.
Like the sense of different areas in the house/property. Split levels, water etc
Like the idea of separate work, gym area.

LARGE COMMUNAL TABLES - ANZ BUILDING MELBOURNE

I like a big modern table than is not wood. Multi functional, can read papers, eat breakfast or have formal meals on it. Formal large tables are under utilised if just used for big meals.

KITCHEN

Like split level kitchen/work top. Social to be facing out and able to speak to people while preparing.

Ideal kitechen. Like the fact there is no counter top on shelves as a central counter is more than enought counter space. Lower shelves means no need to strecth reaching up and all closets are utilised. Plus cool to place stuff on top. Like huge sinks also as just practical with zero mess.

CHALET DES ANGES - ZERMATT SKI LODGE

Les Anges is without doubt the leading chalet in Zermatt, and brings accommodation in the resort to a new level of luxury.
It sits on the best possible position in the Petit Village area of Zermatt at the closest point to the town with unsurpassed views of the Matterhorn and Zermatt below.

Les Anges (‘the Angels’) designed by the renowned Interior Architect Magali de Tscharner, extends to 750m2 spread over three stunning floors. The chalet features reclaimed wood throughout. It is full of light with large panoramic windows to take advantage of the spectacular views. Great care has been taken to create a warm and cosy ambiance utilising the expertise of leading international lighting consultants. Its modern contemporary style with the highest quality natural fabrics is counterbalanced by the symmetry of the furniture to enhance the feeling of warmth and luxury.

The living area on the top floor features high ceilings and huge bright windows which almost seem to bring you into the heart of the mountains. The spaciousness of the living area will fulfil the needs for conviviality of the most demanding guests. It opens on to a terrace, ideally set on the Southern side of the chalet featuring a barbecue and a large table for 14 guests. A wooden clad, cosy TV room / library with satellite TV, completes the top floor.
Below there are seven twin/double en suite bedrooms spread over two floors with balconies. Six bedrooms have a Matterhorn view and four have direct views of that very special mountain. Two of the three master bedrooms have fireplaces. The bed linen and spreads add a final decorative touch.
The Chalet features a generous, serene and calm wellness area. It includes sauna, hamman/steam room, a relaxation area and a massage room. The relax zone features a fountain and ornamental pond and is clad in luxurious Italian marble. Outside there is a 3 metre square black marble, all year heated plunge pool with massaging jets and underwater lighting, perfect to soothe  after a days skiing. Or perhaps just turn everything off and relax in the silent warmth of the pool surrounded by fresh snow as the sun sets behind the Matterhorn.
It is only a 5 minute (2 minutes by electro taxi) to the Sunnegga lift system which connects to the entire Zermatt/Cervinia system and 10 minute stroll to the town centre.

PAUL CORNOYER - AFTER THE RAIN

COOL ENTRANCE

LOFT LIVING - SOLAR POWERED

The old Union Hall of San Diego’s Textile Manufacturing Business got a new lease of life thanks to the innovative design of architect and developer Jonathan Segal. The architect decided to revamp and reuse the old structure in tatters, instead of demolishing and building a new one, which not only saved time, but also building material. His sustainable design now includes a total of 13 new residential lofts. Some of these are available at the market rate while others are affordable despite the array of ergonomic features they incorporate. The innovative homes are powered by solar power for 50% of their energy needs and also are lit up by great natural ventilation.
